APPEL A PROTESTER COLLECTIVEMENT/CALL FOR COLLECTIVE PROTEST

Hi,

We are a group of self-imposed exiled Burmese artists, activists, and students as well as sympathizers of Burma based in Europe.
We strongly encourage everyone sympathizing Burma and anyone not happy about Beijing Olympic 2008 to participate in this collective mooning event in front of the Chinese Embassy-Paris on 8th August 2008 at 2:08 PM which is the official opening hour of Beijing Olympics in China.

Our sole aim is to inform the world that we are not at all happy with the Beijing Olympics 2008 because of China’s policies towards BURMA. In addition, we support the liberation of Tibet and denounce the ignorance policies of China towards Sudan, and many other developing countries, and also towards China itself and Chinese people.

Anybody not happy about Beijing Olympic for any reason is invited and encouraged to join this event in front of the Chinese Embassy in Paris at 14:08 on 8th August 2008.

YOU ARE KINDLY REQUESTED TO SPREAD THIS INFORMATION TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE.
MORE IMPORTANTLY, THIS EVENT IS AN OPEN INITIATIVE AND WE’D LIKE TO REQUEST ARTISTS, ACTIVISTS, AND STUDENTS TO INITIATE SIMILAR EVENTS ON 8th August 2008 IN FRONT OF CHINESE EMBASSIES AND IN PUBLIC PLACES ALL OVER THE WORLD.

Nous sommes un groupe regroupant à la fois des artistes, militants et étudiants birmans qui ont choisi l’exil et des sympathisants de la Birmanie basés en Europe. Nous encourageons vivement tout sympathisant de la Birmanie et toute personne désapprouvant les jeux olympiques de Pékin 2008 à participer à l’événement “Mooning” (exposition de ses fesses en signe de protestation) qui se tiendra devant l’ambassade de Chine à Paris le 8 août 2008 à 14h08, heure officielle d’ouverture des jeux olympiques en Chine.

Notre seul but est d’informer le monde que nous désapprouvons la tenue des jeux olympiques de 2008 à Pékin du fait de la politique menée envers la BIRMANIE. De plus, nous soutenons la libération du Tibet et dénonçons la politique d’ignorance de la Chine envers le Soudan et bien d’autres pays en voie de développement, et, en définitive, également celle envers la Chine et les chinois.
Toute personne désapprouvant les jeux olympiques de Pékin pour quelque raison que ce soit est invitée et encouragée à participer à cet événement
